課程概述

由於微生物當中的細菌、病毒、甚至於真菌中的某些酵母菌和黴菌很容易在實驗室培養、操作，才有可能發展出現在廣泛被應用的分子生物學和重組DNA技術的許多方法。希望學生能經由『微生物遺傳學』這門課程的修習過程中對微生物遺傳物質的組成、複製以及基因的表現與調節；突變、DNA 損傷及修補；質體、病毒以及轉位子；細菌（轉型作用、結合作用和傳導作用）、嗜菌體和真菌遺傳，基因的作圖以及基因體學有所瞭解。本課程以演講方式，配合相關的投影片講解，每一主題會提供參考文獻給學生自行閱讀。

課程目標

藉由本課程的介紹，使學生對於遺傳工程的基本原理及應用能有所瞭解，再加上不時研讀最新的相關科學期刊，期望能在各自的專業領域的研究上有所幫助。

課程要求

必須先修過微生物學或生物學及生物化學，如修過遺傳學或分子生物學則更好。
